Strategy Engagement

Strategy development

We simplify strategy by helping you define your objectives, targets and trajectory in plain English.

Our favourite methodology for most strategy assignments is the OGSM method made popular by Toyota and Procter & Gamble. It delivers clear, measurable, relevant Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures which we find work well in most circumstances. We like OGSM because it’s simple and distills your plans down to their essence.

Our strategy development workshops are lively, interactive and efficient, leading not only to a clear strategic definition but also to C-suite unity around important themes.

Strategy needn’t be mysterious. Conceptually, it is simple and straightforward. It requires clear and hard thinking, real creativity, courage, and personal leadership.

Strategic narrative

Once you have your strategy (developed by us or by you), our Strategic Narrative presents it as a simple story which all stakeholders can understand and believe in.

We use story because people remember stories. Stories help us make sense of what we do and why we do it… they create an emotional connection.

Thus a Strategic Narrative connects employees’ hearts and minds to your values and vision, uniting everyone behind a common purpose.

This means the narrative is a great tool for making change happen and we’ve got lots of great case studies that prove this point. Our narrative engagements follow a five-part plan and typically produce measurable change in a matter of weeks.

This is where we connect the organisation to the story and encourage broader alignment.

It’s important that those we are asking to change or to execute a strategy (ie your teams) are afforded the opportunity to interrogate it and align behind it.

There are many ways in which we facilitate this – it is an important part of any well-managed change agenda.
